My family has always had a passion for travel. My parents immigrated to the United States in their thirites. I had my first passport before the age of one. While the majority of my classmates spent their summers at summer camp, I spent my seven weeks at my mother's childhood home with my Grandma in Prishtina, Kosovo. When my parents would visit, we would hop in the car and drive all over the Balkans.
While I grew up traveling, I could not have enough. When given the opportunity to travel while studying I knew I had no other option but to spend a semester outside of the United States. But the ultimate question was -where? After attention seven informational meetings on different educational programs abroad, I came to my final and best decision I have made thus far in my life, I call Copenhagen, Denmark my home during my time studying abroad.
Throughout my four months in Europe I traveled to fourteen beautiful cities where I learned about culture, food, history and most importantly about myself. I cherished every city I came in contact with. However, below are the few that stuck out to me the most. I hope you enjoy my story just as much as I love to retell it.
