Loyola Campus Life

Spiritual Life

Loyola is indeed a Catholic university that provides deep and meaningful development of the Catholic faith by offering students myriad opportunities for worship, shared prayer, community building, reflection, and service. From daily Mass in the Alumni Memorial Chapel to liturgical events to retreats, students are challenged to seek God in all things. Link

But you don't have to be a practicing Catholic to enjoy the many benefits of a Jesuit education.

All Loyola students have the opportunity to be supported in their spiritual needs, regardless of their faith. Campus Ministry has many programs and outreaches for Catholic and non-Catholic students alike. Programs include a variety of overnight and day/evening retreats, providing our students unique opportunities for spiritual growth and fun at our beautiful, peaceful retreat center, located on 20 serene acres in the mountains of Western Maryland. The retreat program offers students a chance to take time out from their busy academic and social lives for prayer and discernment. Whether you realize it or not, at some point in your college life, you'll need to reconnect and renew your heart, mind, body, and spirit. Link
