Cosplay

Cosplay, or costume play, is another form of art in which fans of media of any type create and wear costumes and dress as characters from popular books, movies, and television shows. No two fans cosplay the same way, and costumes can be as simple or as intricate as a fan wants!

Fanfiction

Fanfiction is a form of fictional writing in which fans of an already established universe like that of a book, movie, or television series in essence "borrow" the characters from that universe and write them into situations of the author's creation. Fanfiction does not have to follow the original or 'canon' work; it can deviate from canon in any way an author likes, and often times becomes its own unique story in itself. It has a major presence within online fan communities, and is often celebrated by other fans of the same book, movie, or series. The most popular fanfiction sites include FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own.
