Woodstock-Inspired Music Festivals

Coachella Crowd

Woodstock inspired the beginning for all types of music festivals around the world. There are music festivals for all types of genres and music-lovers. Some of the most famous and well-known are Coachella (Indio, California), Bonnaroo (Manchester, Tennessee), Governor's Ball (New York City, New York), Lollapalooza (Chicago, Illinois), and Glastonbury (England).

The Evolution of Music Festivals

Some music festivals have somewhat evolved from what Woodstock originally stood for. Woodstock was all about enjoying the music you love with the people you love. Music festivals have evolved from being all about music to now being a pop culture staple with festivals like Coachella. People who attend these festivals now care more about what they are wearing and if they "fit in".

Thing is, it should be the exact opposite - a carefree atmosphere where every person can be his or her self. An environment where every person accepts one another.

However, this does not apply to every music festival in the current day. The Bonnaroo Music and arts Festival is all about having "a really good time" and is heavily influenced by Woodstock. They strongly believe in keeping the same concept as Woodstock and bringing people together who have a shared passion for music.
