About
I began photography around the time I had turned 14 years old. My father was a photographer when he was younger and I always grew up with pictures around the house that he had taken throughout his life that I always thought were pretty neat. I remember when the iPhone 4 had just been released and it had one of the best mobile cameras to date during the time and for christmas I was lucky enough to get one. From there, my curiosity for imagery began.
I spent a lot of my time just taking images with my phone wherever I went. Playing sports, going into the city, or even being in my backyard on a nice day always inspired me to take cool snapshots of what was going on in my day. The app store enabled me to learn how to edit and make my pictures pop. Instagram then rolled out around 2011, and I began running my own account to share the pictures I've taken and follow others who were doing what was known as #Iphoneography at the time.
Flash forward to 2015 and I finally got my own camera. It was an entry level DSLR, a Nikon D3200. Basic but still powerful, it's what really got my interest and passion in photography to expand even more. Me and friends would take pictures and videos all the time, and it eventually gave me a platform to learn how to use Adobe editing software to step my game up even further. Picking up that camera always gave me excitement for what I was able to capture and share in my own ways
Now its 2017, and I've only expanded my talents further. I have a more professional grade camera and operate a social media page with a decent following. I've worked with freelance artists, musicians, and models for pay and even have my own business card (the back side of it is pictured in the upper left). Photography has brought me countless memories and new experiences, and even a little cash in my pocket. The way I see it, even though I have come a long way with it, I still believe the only direction for me is up. I don't know where photography will take me in the future, but I find beauty in that unknown.
