Information on Our Process of Setting

Our staff are who re-sets the climbing wall every year. The staff goes through a 5 day training which is designed to teach each member of staff how to safely use the gear necessary as well as teahc each setter how to find their own unique way of setting.

The first part of the training covers the gear needed to set. The setters are taught how to self belay on a Gri-Gri. They are also taught how to use the two different types of wrenches as well as how to properly use power drills.

The next part of the training covers climbing hold selection. In this section setter slearn how to find what pieces they want to use on their climb and how to find teh correct size bolt for the peice selected. The setter then gets the chance to practice setting which helps teach them their setting style.
