The World is Changing

(May 3, 2020) - No one would have expected a global pandemic to happen this year, but here we are. Even though there are many uknowns during these unprecedented times, one thing for certain is that this will have an impact on life moving forward.

So many people are wondering when we will be able to hang out with our friends and families, and when stores and offices will reopen. Many people are suffering during this lockdown and period of uncertainty.

The biggest concern most people have is when we will go back to "normal", or will America's norm change into something else? It is important that we have hope and faith that we will get through this together and that this will finally be in our past.

Telecommuting has become a reality of ours. Covid-19 has impacted the way we work and interact with our colleagues. Many companies and colleges have adapted to learning and working remotely from home.

Telecommuting is a great skill to learn, and will be a new norm of ours. Interviews will be held virtually, and Zoom and Webex will be used by employees to hold meetings.

Another uncertainty, is how long we will have to be in lockdown and how long we will have to practice social distancing.

We don't know how soon a vaccine or cure for Covid-19 will be available, but in the meantime officials will keep suggesting social distancing as precautionary measures.

For many people, Covid-19 and being quarantined is having negative effects on people's mental health. Suicide rates will keep going up until the lockdown is lifted.

"When will America go back to life before Covid-19?"

President Donald Trump has released guidelines for Opening Up America Again, which is a three-phased approach. The phases are: criteria, preparedness, and phase guidelines.
