The general consensus of Midsommar by critics is that it was wildly horrifying, thoroughly entertaining, and the actors truly brought the characters to life in an award-worthy way. People were impressed (and scared) of Ari Aster's mind after seeing the movie. It is definitely a polarizing film however, not all reviews were shining. Many people were deeply disturbed at the gore and graphic nature of the film, and there were even instances people left the movie theater halfway through the viewing. It is a difficult movie to get through, but some people were refreshed in an odd way since it was something they had never seen before.
