Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood, born May 31st, 1930, is an American actor whose rose to fame came with his portrayal of the protagonist of The Dollars Trilogy, The Man with No Name. Eastwood portrayed a stoic anti-hero who wouldn’t hesitate to shoot down a man he didn't like, but ultimately tried to do right by others. He is the only actor to portray the same character in all three movies. After his role in The Dollars Trilogy, Eastwood enjoyed a surge in his fame and subsequently became one of the most recognizable figures in Westerns such as The Outlaw Josie Wales and High Plains Drifter.

Lee Van Cleef

Lee Van Cleef, born January 9th, 1925, is an American Character Actor who stared in two of films in The Dollars Trilogy, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Van Cleef was famous for his portrayal as villains, his sharp nose and menacing stare providing the perfect foil to the looks of the hero as was the case when he portrayed the villain in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, Angel Eyes. However, he proved he had a wide range by playing sympathetic hero, Colonel Douglas Mortimer in For a Few Dollars More. Van Cleef passed away in 1989 and is remembered as a legend in the western genre.

Eli Wallach

Eli Wallach, born December 7th, 1915, was an American actor who portrayed Tuco in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Unlike Eastwood and Van Cleef whose stars were made in westerns, Wallach was a star before ever appearing on the silver screen as Tuco. Despite this, his performance as Tuco has become regarded as one of the most dynamic of all films in The Dollars Trilogy, adding an element of energy and comedy that separates the film from its two predecessors. Wallach continued to act until his death in 2014 and won a Tony, Emmy, and BAFTA award in that time.

Gian Maria Volonté

Gian Maria Volonté, born April 9th, 1933, was an Italian Actor who stared as the primary antagonist in the first two films of The Dollars Trilogy, A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More. Volonté became famous internationally for his portrayal of Ramón Rojo and El Indio respectively as he became an icon of the genre. In his home country of Italy, he was known for his work in several dramas that were released in the 1960s and 1970s. Volonté died in 1993 an accomplished actor thanks in no small part to his captivating role as a villain in The Dollars Trilogy.
