The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's Swimming and Diving Teams are both Division 1 programs that compete in the Patriot League. The men's team has a total of 29 swimmers and divers while the women's team consists of 35 total swimmers and divers.
Last year, both the men and women finished sixth place out of 10 in the Patriot League at the Conference Championships. The men add on 12 freshmen this season, while the women add 6. Both teams will be aiming to improve on their successes of last year.
One thing that should help the team's cause is the recent hiring of Assistant Coach George Kennedy. Kennedy is a seven time Division III National Coach Of The Year, and is listed as one of "The World's 50 Greatest Leaders" by Fortune magazine in 2014. The team will be looking to benefit from what he has to offer.
Head Coach Brian Loeffler returns for his 26th season as head coach of the men's and women's Swimming and Diving teams.
