Butler and Hammerman Residence Halls
The Butler and Hammerman residence halls are located on the east side of Loyola's campus and offers traditional style rooms for first year students. The building is set up in such a way that it helps to provide a strong sense of community.
Butler features 72 doubles with shared baths on the floor that are cleaned daily by University personnel. Lobby with desk assistant, computer lab, first floor lounge, and laundry room. Several floor lounges where students can gather. Functional solar panels on roof.
Hammerman features 68 doubles with shared baths on the floor that are cleaned daily by University personnel. Lobby with desk assistant, in-hall chapel, first floor lounge, and laundry room. Several floor lounges where students can gather.
Flannery O'Connor Hall
Flannery O'Connor Hall is Loyola's newest first-year student hall located between Butler Hall and the Loyola/Notre Dame Library. It offers traditional style double-rooms connected by a bathroom.
Flannery O'Connor features 82 suite style rooms (Two doubles with a shared internal bath that is maintained by residents). Two Lobbies (first and second floors) with desk assistants; two multi-purpose spaces used for classes, programs, etc; laundry rooms; and print lab. Floor lounges with open concept with moveable furniture and plasma TV's. Each room in Flannery is furnished with: two beds, two desks with chairs, two dressers, and two open closet spaces. All rooms are fully carpeted and have air conditioning. Smart Market C-Store is a convenience store that provides fresh home cooked meals, a variety of snacks, salads, sandwiches, beverages (including milk shakes!), and a selection of non-food items.
