The Arizona Cardinals found a way to win, overcoming a 15-point deficit to beat the San Francisco 49ers. The win happened after Mike McCoy's firing a week ago. New offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich found a way to make the offense click. He promised to take advantage of his best playmaker's skills. He delivered his promise after Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson had their best statistical output of the season.

The offensive line is still leaky in pass protection and the defensive line is still prone to allowing big runs. But the Cardinals minimized their mistakes and finally broke free of their conservative efforts. Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen took more shots down the field, beating all-pro cornerback Richard Sherman all day long. Cardinals cut Sam Bradford

Cardinals have announced that they have released Sam Bradford and will immediately be a free agent. They signed him to a one-year $20 million deal in the off-season to be the starter and to be a mentor to Josh Rosen. Unfortunately for him, he was ineffective in his first three starts and was benched.

Since the future is now with Josh Rosen starting as their franchise quarterback, Bradford's time as a Cardinals was inevitably coming to an end. His demotion to third-string behind Mike Glennon was the first sign of his potential departure. Now that it has come to fruition, the Cardinals will roll with two quarterbacks on the roster for the remainder of the season. Read more
