Loyola University Maryland was one of the lucky university's to be chosen to participate Al Roker’s “Rokerthon”. Loyola spent a month preparing for their Today Show appearance and Al Roker's arrival on campus. Various clubs came together to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Crab Walk.
In preparation for the big day, the dance team had the chance to work with the Today Show's camera crew! The team was featured in a commerical on national television.
The 4:30 a.m. wake up call for the dancers sounds arduous, but was very much worth it. We had the opportunity to be in Al Roker's opening entrance and welcome him to campus.
“It was a really great experience to have Al Roker on campus. I believe that this opportunity helped the dance team gain exposure. I enjoyed seeing all the hard work that goes into the production of the Today Show. ”
