Rome is the capital of Italy and is the fourth most populated city in the European Union. Rome is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, within Lazio, and along the shores of Tiber. Rome is also one of the first major centers of the Italian Renaissance and the birthplace of both the Baroque style and Neoclassicism. Rome is filled with tons of beautiful architecture. Rome is one of the biggest cities in Italy and will take a little longer to tour! However, the two biggest attractions and The Trevi Fountain and The Colosseum. I highly recommend going on a tour of the Colosseum because there is so much history behind it.

Of course, Rome is full of a bunch of amazing restaurants. The pasta and pizza in Rome are simply delicious! Rome is especially known for its Pizza Bianca and Pasta Carbonara. I highly suggest trying both while you are there. Rome also has the best gelato in Italy, you MUST try it!

While in Rome, the most important thing to do is tour The Vatican. Vatican City is actually its own country inside of Rome, making it the only country to exist inside a city. The Vatican is absolutely breathtaking and the Sistine Chapel contains some of the best artwork you will ever see!
