Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon is well known around the world for its dizzying heights, dramatic drops, and vibrant red rocks. It is one of the most spectacular sights in the American Mid-West. The different bands of rocks are distinct geological eras and were formed over hundreds of years. The Colorado River snakes through the canyon cliffs, and continues to carve into the rock today.
