This focus area of the York Road Iniative works to support businesses and the development of thriving public spaces in the Greater Govans neighborhoods.
- York Road Community Days: Support the organization and planning of the projects and work done on these days.
- York Road Community Toolbank: Coordinate and organize the continued development of the York Road Community Toolbank.
- Peer Engagement: Organize and support events on the York Road corridor to support knowledge and engagement of Loyola students and community with small businesses along the York Road corridor. Work with student clubs and orgs, East Side resident groups, and others to promote events like York Road Restaurant Crawls, Small Business Saturday events, and Taste of York Road events to highlight local businesses. As needed, give presentations to classrooms, clubs, and organizations about how to engage with small businesses along the York Road corridor.
